The project aims to the restoration of a building situated in a very panoramic location on one of the most beautiful hills of the Lucca area.

Currently the building does not present particularly valuable architectural or typological characteristics. The proposed intervention consists in the creationm of a new structure built on the footprint of the existing one. The new features will enrich the existing building with details matching the features and style of the buildings in the surroundings. Particular care will be used in the employment of materials and technologies to help creating a building with the traditional and historical character of our hillside areas.

Therefore, the proposed works include the recovery and employment of typical elements of the local architecture, like stone and terracotta tiles (“cotto”).

Architect Riccardo Pellini is the owner of the homonym Architecture Office in Lucca, operating in all areas of Tuscany. In the following pages examples can be found of new constructions, urban recoveries, restorations, private and public construction projects both in the areas of Lucca and Pisa.
